Huntington Beach held host to the US Open of Surfing, one of surfing's biggest events. Except there was one major difference with this year's event and that was Neff stormed with beach as the Official Eyewear Sponsor. Neff brought some of the biggest spectacles of the week by bringing in YouTube stars like Sexy Sax Man and Mr. Neff.
The infamous prize wheel kept a steady line of 300+ NeffHeads all waiting for their chance to spin to win. Yet Neff didn't only pull tricks from Vanna White and Pat Sajack. Neff also created a social media frenzy by having US Open attendees take a pair of Neff Vision paper shades and take a creative picture to post to Instagram and hashtag #NEFF. Each day Neff picked 30-40 of their favorite pictures and rewarded the creativity by commenting on the photo and telling the selected winner to come back to the booth to claim their Neff Shades.
On Saturday with an expected attendance of over 200k people, Neff had a team signing across from the beach at Jacks Surf Shop. Neff athletes Jordy Smith, Kolohe Andino, Dion Agius, Evan Geiselman, Jaws, Nick Merlino, Tony Tave, Nick Trapasso were there for the signing. Neff also brought in some familiar faces to hype up the line of over 1000 people; Dirt Nasty, Cisco Adler and Warren G.
All of the activations combined with the Neff Bikini Team created a huge impression on one of the largest sporting events in America.
